this kiddies is called Damage Control for AT&T and Spin Doctoring from T-Mobile. the heads of Deutsche Telekom tried everything they could to make a $52B cash out. there are many documents about them being all for the merger, but this, if anything is a success for Sprint, who had the most to lose, by being the 3rd national carrier very far behind a giant AT&T and Verizon. Next step would be Verizon trying to buy Sprint to flip AT&T. 

but as the log line from such great(sic) monster movie mashups as ‘Aliens Vs Predators,’ ‘Freddie Vs Jason,’ and the classic ‘Megashark Versus Robogator”
